With plenty of inviting places to pause for refreshment, shopping is a relaxing pastime in Old Amersham and its more modern counterpart on the hill, which grew up on the arrival of the Metropolitan Railway line.

Amersham is an attractive location and benefits from good road and rail links.  Junction 2 of the M40 is 5 miles from the town which provides access to the M25 and the rest of the national motorway network.  Central London can be reached within approximately 37 minutes via the Chiltern Railway and the Metropolitan Line on the  London Underground system.

Market Commentary / Rental Costs

  • Offices close to the train station are rumored to be let for around £28 per sq ft for around 5,000 sq ft of space and in the Old Town rents of £30 per sq ft have been achieved.
  • Due to Greenbelt policy in areas of outstanding natural beauty there is very little commercial development planned in Amersham, apart from in the traditional industrial areas, just off the White Lion Road / Raans Road.
  • Demand for retail units in Amersham is always high. We’ve recently let a  couple of retail units along Woodside Road.
