Marlow is a buzzing successful town located on the River Thames with an above average amount of high net worth achievers. Shops in Marlow High Street give a boutique feel to the town with a mixture of local retailers and national chains.
The main retailing area is the High Street leading up to West Street and Spittal Street enabling most retailing areas to be accessed within only a short walk.
Marlow has good links to both the M40 and the M4 via the A404 dual carriageway. There is a rail station linking to Maidenhead. The town benefits from Higginson Park, a park right on the River Thames with the Compleat Angler Hotel located opposite on the banks of the River Thames.
The town is also known for a Michelin starred restaurant run by Tom Kerridge – The Hand & Flowers.
Market Commentary / Rental Costs
- There is a mix of office accommodation both in the town centre and on The Globe Business Park. Town centre offices tend to have some character but are mainly under 10,000 sq ft. The Globe Business Park offers a corporate business environment with a mix of Grade A open plan offices and industrial warehousing. Recently refurbished office accommodation, One Globeside, on Globe Park is on the market for £28.50 psf.
- Marlow is well-known for its eclectic mix of independent and national retailers across the High Street, West Street and Spittal Street. There is a high level of demand for retail units in Marlow and therefore time on the market is kept to a minimum.
- Residential prices are considerably high in the area and therefore office conversion to residential schemes have also been popular.
