What does it mean to Chandler Garvey to be involved with the Buckinghamshire Business Awards 2022, especially given the tough times businesses have been through in recent years?
“The awards ceremony not only represents an opportunity for the finalists and winners to celebrate their achievements, but as representatives of the wider business community, we can celebrate the strength and diversity of the county’s economy with its strong entrepreneurial spirit and so many stories of success and innovation despite the very challenging past two years.
“Chandler Garvey acts for many different businesses, providing a range of property advice, and we see at first hand the way that businesses have adapted to current market conditions with new services and products, with many companies needing more floor space.”
“The vibrancy of the business community is important to all of us and we are delighted to be involved again this year.”
What have you admired about businesses in Buckinghamshire throughout the last two years?
“Whilst not every business survived Covid, and this is very sad, many have flourished and demonstrated the drive and determination to succeed and overcome so many challenges.
“Buckinghamshire Business First has played a very important part in helping so many businesses to succeed, while so many businesses have been willing to help each other that the sense of community is palpable, and the community that BBF has created within its membership is one of the most rewarding elements that we have witnessed.
“The sheer determination to survive and succeed is a powerful testament to business owners and their teams throughout the county, and with further difficult times ahead, this resolve might be tested again.”
Why did you want to sponsor the Community Champions Award in particular? And just how big an impact do you think businesses can have on the world around them?
“Businesses are at the heart of our communities; employing people, generating wealth for the UK plc, driving change and innovation, and acting as ambassadors within their communities, helping to shape the lives of individuals, charities and not-for-profit organisations, with many business people volunteering as Trustees or Non-Executive Directors.
“Chandler Garvey plays an active role in the community and we know first-hand the impact we can make, but also the sense of achievement that the team has in helping others to succeed. Communities are stronger when everyone plays an active role in making a difference, however small this might seem. The businesses in Buckinghamshire are incredibly generous with their time and money, and we recognise those businesses that go above and beyond as our real Community Champions.”
