Michael Garvey joined the firm in 2004 as a Director. He was previously a Partner with Hicks Baker in Reading and prior to that a Director with Rogers Chapman in Bracknell. He has worked in the Greater Thames Valley region since the late 1980’s.
Michael is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Fellow of the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation. He is an Arbitrator and receives appointments from the RICS to resolve rent review and lease renewal disputes. He is also a RICS Registered Valuer.
Michael has a high level of expert witness experience, writing expert reports of a range of matters and has appeared in the High Court and at various planning Inquiries. Other areas of expertise include valuation, development consultancy and sales and letting advice.
In recent years Michael has undertaken a lot of acquisition work for occupiers across a range of property sectors and has been able to use the skills acquired over many years to assist companies with relocation or with opening new ventures.
He is a regular contributor to the national and regional property press and a conference and business speaker, at venues including the Houses of Parliament and the European Parliament in Brussels.
Michael has worked for a wide range of clients across all the agency and professional disciplines, including Standard Life, AXA REIM, Scottish Life, Columbia Threadneedle, LaSalle Investment Management, Legal & General, Norwich Union, Prudential Property Investment Managers, SEGRO, Morley Fund Managers, Foreign & Colonial, CitiBank, GE Healthcare, Game, Energis, British Airways, Nokia, BASF, ASDA Stores, Citizen Watch, Logica, Customs and Excise, The Employment Service and DfEE.
Michael plays an active role in the business community. He is Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Buckinghamshire Business First, a Board Member of the Buckinghamshire (Thames Valley) Local Enterprise Partnership, A Director of Buckinghamshire Advantage, Joint Chair of the Connected Counties broadband delivery board and sits on various committees related to infrastructure in Buckinghamshire.
Michael undertakes pro bono work for a number of charities.

Alan has lived or worked in Buckinghamshire for over 56 years and for over 35 years has experience in the commercial property sector including developments and investments.
Alan has been involved with many schemes in the Chiltern District Council area including Anglo Business Park Amersham, Bell Lane Office Village, Chiltern Court, Chiltern Commerce Centre, Amersham Commercial Park, Corinium Industrial Estate, Link House, Stones Courtyard, Anglo Business Chesham and also the Anglo Business Park in Aylesbury.
A 2.1 Honours Degree in Estate Management at Greenwich University, graduating in 1986.
Elected to a Professional Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in March 1989.
Former member and President of Great Missenden/Prestwood Lions Club.

Alan is the father of four, a keen sports fan, watches a great deal of football and rugby union. In particular, Alan enjoys watching his beloved Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and also keeps fit by swimming 3 times every week and walking during the weekend through the Chiltern Hills and beyond.
Joanna Kearvell has 16 years experience in the commercial property sector. Jo heads up the Agency team in Aylesbury and Amersham dealing with lettings and sales for a wide range of clients including private individuals and pension funds.
Jo is also part of the Occupier Services Division and her experience and attention to detail will be essential in advising occupiers about their commercial premises. Jo has recently been working with occupiers through a series of workshops in association with Buckinghamshire Business First.
BA (Hons) degree at the University of Plymouth in International Business and French which included a year working for Alcatel in North West France.
Jo enjoys watching sport including football, formula 1 and tennis although most of her time is spent running around after her children! She also enjoys baking cakes and watching Strictly Come Dancing.
I have recently joined Chandler Garvey in September 2022 and am based in the High Wycombe office, working within the Agency Team alongside Marcus Smith.
My role involves working on Commercial Lettings including offices, retail and industrial units. I am new to Commercial Property and am looking forward to learning about the industry and the role within the company.
Hardeep has 10 years experience in the commercial property sector, having worked for some of the biggest Real Estate consultancies, including Workman, Savills and Cushman & Wakefield.
Hardeep heads up the Asset Management division in our High Wycombe branch, managing a versatile portfolio of assets across the UK and working with a wide range of clients including Private Individuals, Propco’s, Local Authorities and Pension Funds.
Outside of work Hardeep enjoys a range of active hobbies including nine-a-side football, badminton and hiking. Hardeep is also committed to community service and is an active member of various charitable organisations that focus primarily on helping homeless individuals.

Anna joined Chandler Garvey in October 2022 and has since played a pivotal role as the Head of Finance for the company. With her diverse skill set and extensive experience in bookkeeping, office management, administration, and financial resource management, Anna brings a wealth of expertise to her position.
In her role, Anna oversees the intricate financial requirements of the Property Management department, which encompass managing service charge accounts, rent collection, debt recovery, VAT returns, and various other financial aspects. Her meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational abilities are instrumental in ensuring the efficient financial operation of the department.
Karen joined Chandler Garvey in 2021 and is a member of our Commercial and Residential Agency team based in High Wycombe. With her expertise in administration and digital marketing, she provides essential support to the team.
In addition to handling various administration duties, Karen is responsible for overseeing client and property onboarding tasks. She ensures that our properties meet the necessary compliance standards set forth by Energy Performance Regulations by arranging and organising EPC inspections where required.
Furthermore, Karen is responsible for conducting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks to ensure that all necessary AML protocols are followed, conducting thorough due diligence on clients and applicants alike.
In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Karen actively contributes to our digital marketing efforts. With her creativity and understanding of online platforms, she helps promote our agency and effectively engage with our target audience.
Judy has been with Chandler Garvey for 7 years and brings with her a wealth of experience in administration and the property industry. Judy plays a vital role is supporting the Agency Team and her responsibilities include maintaining property and applicant databases, ensuring accurate advertising of available properties across different platforms, and handling applicant inquiries efficiently.
Additionally, Judy is crucial to ensuring our compliance with Money Laundering Regulations by conducting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Checks and Identity Checks on all sides of a transaction.
Outside of work Judy is a keen gardener; she also enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and loves to walk in the local countryside.
David studied his undergraduate degree in Business Management at the University of East Anglia in Norwich before pursuing a career in property by completing a Real Estate Masters at Nottingham Trent University. David spent 4 years post graduation working for a niche consultancy providing corporate real estate advice to occupiers in the industrial, logistics and trade counter sectors across the whole of the UK. David will be working towards his APC while undertaking a variety of general practice work, including lease renewals, rent reviews and valuations.
Outside of work David enjoys a range of active hobbies including weight lifting, five-a-side football and has recently entered the world of martial arts. David is also a committed petrolhead, attending track days, road trips and is especially fond of driving through the Cotswolds and Lincolnshire Wolds.
Following an extensive 15-year career in Estate Agency, David has made the move to join our firm as a property consultant. In his new capacity, he’s set to play a pivotal role in steering our facilities management projects while harnessing his residential expertise to support the residential department.
David has worked in roles as a mortgage broker and negotiator as well as a group sales director. His extensive experience spans diverse regions, encompassing London, Herts, Bucks, and Berkshire, enriching our team with a wealth of valuable insights.
Throughout his career, David has been responsible for building successful, high-performance teams and effectively overseeing the management of multiple offices. His expertise extends beyond traditional real estate roles, as he has played a crucial part in assisting developers in securing new sites and facilitating their disposal through individual sales.
