As a Heart of Bucks Community Investor, we were delighted to be invited to join their 25-year anniversary tour, visiting the High Wycombe leg. It was such an inspiring day and a wonderful reminder of all the amazing things happening in our local community.
Talkback UK
Our first stop was The Mustard Seed Café in All Saints Church, where we met the fantastic team from Talkback. Ben and Victoria were an absolute delight and made the visit a real treat. Talkback does incredible work supporting autistic individuals and people with learning disabilities, helping them grow, contribute to their community, and live fulfilling lives. The café runs every Tuesday morning, and I can’t recommend it enough – whether you’re after a quiet coffee to start the day or a lively chat with one of the team from Talkback!
One Can Trust
Next, we visited One Can Trust and were blown away by the amazing work they do. From providing over 400 food parcels a week, to supporting volunteers, working with companies that donate goods, and giving extra help to those in the toughest financial situations, the passion and energy of the team is inspiring. Their compassion for the people they help really shines through, and it’s clear how dedicated they are to making a difference in the community.
Heart of Bucks – 25th Anniversary
Heart of Bucks plays such a pivotal role in supporting and connecting communities across Buckinghamshire, from funding community projects to championing local initiatives. Reaching their 25th anniversary is a remarkable milestone, reflecting decades of dedication, collaboration, and positive impact. Their work has touched countless lives, and this anniversary is a testament to the difference that a committed, community-focused organisation can make over a quarter of a century.
Being part of the anniversary tour really highlighted what makes High Wycombe so special – a place where people come together to support each other, create safe spaces, and open up opportunities for those who need them most. It’s easy to get caught up in our own lives and forget how much good is happening around us, and this day was a powerful reminder of that.
A huge thank you to Heart of Bucks for letting us be part of this anniversary tour and for giving us the chance to share in all the good news.
