A Red Book valuation is a formal report prepared to RICS Valuation Global Standards. It’s required for situations like probate, pension fund accounting (SIPP/SSAS), capital gains tax, or securing a bank loan — anywhere a third party such as HMRC or a lender needs a defensible figure.
