How long have you been working in residential property?
I started in an agency in 2007 as a Residential Mortgage Broker for a large corporate agent. I moved into residential sales in 2010 and never looked back.
What locations do you specialise in?
Over the years I have specialised in high-end homes within the locations I have operated, covering London, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Herts. I can honestly say these areas have some of the most amazing people, properties, and businesses within them.
What is the most memorable property you have sold?
I have sold special and prestigious homes over the years, my most memorable one being and old, converted stable that I had the pleasure of managing. Having been built in 1898, the original stables were converted around 1985 and used as a family home. The owners were retired and keen to secure the right buyer who would appreciate the unique features and location. Seeing their passion really helped us to match buyers who would share their enthusiasm and love for a stunning family home.
What would be your top tips for sellers?
Making your house stand out as early as possible is key for me to give first impressions. Always make sure where possible there are no bins or cars on the drive when clients first view the property. Leaving the drive clear for buyers will give the look and feel of what it would be like to pull onto the drive and into the house. Ensure the frontage of the home is weed free, lawn cut and remember to install lots of external lighting if the viewing takes place after dusk.
And your top tips for buyers?
Getting yourself in the best possible proceedable buying position is key. There are three things to ensure you have in place before you are ready to proceed with a house; the first, have full proof of funds to hand, the second, a solicitor instructed and the third, time scales for completion. So many buyers lose out on their dream houses because they do not have all or any of the above in place. Although these may seem like trivial things, you will be waiting for 3rd parties to ensure you have the above, so my advice would be to get ahead of the game to make sure you do not lose out!
